- The question is which beauracrats do you want watching out for you? The insurance companies that look for profit or the ones that work for the government that don't have the idea to make a profit? I would go with those that aren't trying to squeeze every last drop of profit out of my premiums.

The Second Amendment is not about hunting or target shooting. AR15s are extremely accurate guns, which can be used for hunting. But they are fun to shoot, plinking at cans, hitting paper targets. They also make good self-defense guns. AKs are not as accurate, but you can hunt deer sized game with them. They have the same power is a 30-30 deer rifle. AR15s and AKs are midpower guns, weaker than most hunting calibers.

Americans do not have the right to keep and bear arms in order to hunt with or protect themselves from criminals. We have that right to defend all our other rights. This is why it is at the top, not the bottom of the amendments in the Constitution.

People think that we are so much more educated and sophisticated than people were in say, Germany in the 30s when Hitler first registered, then collected all guns from citizens there. This is faulty and dangerous logic. Especially since our government is moving towards world law and world government via the UN and even NATO, I personally want to be able to protect my FREEDOMS from that which people born too late or who are too ignorant to pay attention to history take for granted.
